HIGH POINT, N.C. – High Point Men's Basketball Head CoachAlan Huss announced 12 additions to the 2024-25 roster, adding to the eight returners from the previous season. Three of the transfers picked up All-Conference honors at their previous school and will add to HPU's two Big South all-conference selections from last season.

#0 | Terry Anderson | 6'6" | Senior | Deer Park, Texas | Lamar
Anderson joins the Panthers for his senior season after spending the past two seasons at Lamar. During his junior season, he was named to the 2024 Second Team All-Southland Conference and to the All-Tournament team during the Southland Conference Postseason tournament. He started in all 33 games he appeared in and led his team averaging 13.1 points per game. He shot 49.5% from the field, 30.2% from three and 64.3% from the line and registered a career-high 25 points at Nicholls (1/13). Anderson also averaged 6.5 rebounds per game and posted a career-high 14 rebounds versus Texas A&M Commerce (1/22). He finished the season second on the team in assists (89), steals (40) and blocks (23).
#2| Chase Johnston | 6'3" | Graduate Student | Boca Raton, Florida | FGCU
After spending two seasons at Stetson University and two seasons at Florida Gulf Coast University, Johnston comes to High Point for his Grad season. During the 2023-24 season at FGCU, Johnston appeared in seven games before a season ending injury. He averaged 9.7 points per contest, scoring in double-figures in four consecutive games and dropped a season-high 14 points in two matchups against Norfolk State (11/20) and New College of Florida (12/5). He netted 20 points in the season opener at the University Southern California to help FGCU defeat the travelers. After redshirting his freshman season, he was named the ASUN Freshman of the Year in 2020-21, he made the ASUN All-Freshman Team, was named to the Kyle Macy Freshman All-America Team and voted the ASUN Newcomer of the Week on December 21, 2020. He was also named an ASUN second team All-Conference selection. While at Stetson he broke the program single-season 3-point field goal record in back-to-back seasons, dropping 79 triples his redshirt freshman season and 99 triples his redshirt sophom*ore season. During his redshirt freshman season, he ranked second in the ASUN and 18th in the NCAA in 3-pointers made (79) and ranked 19th in the nation in 3-pointers per-game (2.93). In his three full seasons, he averaged double figures per game and shot over 37% from deep and 79% from the line.
#4 | D'Maurian Williams | 6'4" | Graduate Student | Phoenix, Arizona | Texas Tech
Williams returns to the Big South Conference after spending the past two seasons at Texas Tech University. While with the Red Raiders he appeared in seven games during the 2023-24 season. During the 2022-23 season, he played in 27 games starting in one game. He averaged 3.1 points, 1.3 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 0.4 steals per game. Williams scored a season-high 17 points against Jackson State after going 5-for-7 on 3-pointers and posted two double-figure scoring performances in the season, including producing 10 points with two 3-pointers against Louisville in the Maui Invitational.
Prior to transferring to Texas Tech, Williams spent his freshman and sophom*ore seasons at Big South foe Gardner-Webb University. During his sophom*ore season he earned Second Team All-Conference honors after averaging 14.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 0.9 steals per game. He produced 24 double-figure scoring performances, including scoring 20 or more in eight games and scored a career-high 27 points against Columbia International in mid-November. He completed the season shooting 79-for-201 (39.3 percent) on 3-pointers with 17 games with three or more 3-pointers, including a season-best six 3-pointers in a 25-point performance against Western Carolina. As a freshman he was named to the All-Freshman team after averaging 10.8 points and 2.0 assists per game. He finished his career at Gardner-Webb totaling 731 points along with 131 assists and 57 steals.
#10 | Simon Hildebrandt | 6' 9" | Junior | Winnipeg, MB, Canada | Manitoba Bisons
A Native of Winnipeg, MB, Canada, Hildebrandt played two seasons with the Manitoba Bisons. This past season he averaged 16.3 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game. He dropped a season-high 41 points against Victoria. Hildebrandt was named a two-time Canada West First Team All-Star recipient. He was also named All-Canadian in 2022-23.
#14 | Birgir Irving | 6'7" | Freshman | Garðabær, Iceland
Irving comes to High Point after playing three years of basketball at the Rothesay Netherwood School. He was named to the All-Atlantic All-Star team this past season and helped guide his team to the NPA playoffs. Along with playing basketball, Birgir was also a member of the rowing team for two years.
#15 | Braden Hausen | 6'7" | Freshman | Amarillo, Texas
Hausen joins the Panthers as a true freshman from Amarillo, Texas where he played all four years of basketball at Amarillo High School. He was named the District MVP, a first team All-District recipient and a first team All-State selection. While at Amarillo, the sharpshooter helped guide his team to four conference championships and two state runner-up titles. Out of high school, Hausen was a three-star recruit.
#19 | Josh Ibukunoluwa | 6'10" | Freshman | Perth, Australia
A native of Australia, Ibukunoluwa comes to High Point as a freshman forward. Ibukunoluwa played with the Willetton Tigers NBL 1 team and averaged 10.25 points per game, 6.58 rebounds per game and 1.83 assists. He was the 2nd ranked prospect in Australia's 2024 class. He also played for Orangeville Prep in Canada and averaged 12.0 points and 7.5 rebounds. His 7.5 rebounds per game led Orangeville Prep in the Nike EYBL scholastic league in rebounding.
#22 | Andrew Sineway | 6'6" | Sophom*ore | Boynton Beach, Florida | Palm Beach State
Sineway spent his first collegiate season at Palm Beach State and transferred to High Point after redshirting his freshman season. The 6'6" guard attended High School at Saint Andrew's School in Florida where he played all four years on the basketball team. He was named a 2x first team All-Palm Beach County selection and helped guide his team to two District Championships. While in high school he scored 1000 points and averaged 18 points per game during his senior season.
#24 | David Fonville | 6'3" | Freshman | Jacksonville, Florida
Fonville graduated from Providence School this past spring and comes to High Point after playing all four years on the basketball team. While in high school, he helped guide his team to three District Championships, two Regional Championships and two State Final Fours.
#33 | Mavrick Miller | 6'4" | Freshman | Memphis, Tennessee
Miller joins the Panthers as a freshman guard from Memphis, Tennessee where he attended Houston High School. While in high school he was a multi-sport athlete and played football, basketball and baseball. As a member of the basketball team, Miller helped guide his team to the State Title in 2021 after making the tournament in 2020 which was canceled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. He was named a first team All-Conference selection in three back-to-back seasons.
#40 | Ivan Matlekovic | 7'0" | Freshman | Sisak, Croatia
Matlekovic comes to the States from Croatia as a freshman forward. While in Croatia he played for the Croatian National team and Mladost. With team Mladost he averaged 5.9 points and 5.1 rebounds.
#55 | Bobby Pettiford | 6'0" | Senior | Durham, N.C. | East Carolina
After spending a season at East Carolina University and two seasons at Kansas University, Pettiford comes to High Point for his senior season. As a point guard at ECU, Pettiford played in all 33 games for the Pirates including 18 starts. He led the team in assists with 3.4 per game and led the AAC in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.2. He shot 45 percent from the floor and finished fourth on the team in scoring with 7.8 points per game. He scored a career-high 24 points against UNC Wilmington on November 21 and recorded a career-high five steals against Florida on December 14. Pettiford was also tabbed the Preseason AAC Breakout Player of the Year byThe Almanac.
While at Kansas, he competed in 32 games during his sophom*ore season, including 16 Big 12 league contests and averaged 2.2 points per game and 1.6 assists per game on 12.0 minutes per contest. He scored a season-high 13 points in the season opener against Omaha and hit a game-winner at the buzzer against Wisconsin in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament to advance the Jayhawks to the title game. During his freshman season, he averaged 8.0 minutes and 1.4 points in 14 games played in 2021-22, to contribute to the Jayhawks' run to a national championship title. He played a season-high 20 minutes vs. Stony Brook with four points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal and scored a season-high five points with two rebounds and two assists vs. Michigan State.
